Lets move a little back in time when I came to Taiwan for my Master's at National Chiao Tung University. To be honest, I was little afraid when I left my Country and came to a foreign land. When I came to National Chiao Tung University, I didn't know anybody and nobody knew me and my first few days were quit tough here the only thing that kept me going was the cooperative attitude of everybody that I met here.
Whenever, I needed any sort of help, the administration guided me thoroughly.As the time passed by and I got accustomed with the environment. I started enjoying my stay here and it only took me a mere one week. Now, I have a lots of local and international friends here with whom I had explored many places of Taiwan It like a new day everyday and I look forward towards the coming years as I know that they are going to bring more and more fun and happiness.
It been 8 months since I am here and I never felt that I am being treated differently as compare to locals that's the best thing I love about National Chiao Tung University. Now, I think that Its time to share my Good experience and finding about National Chiao Tung University with all of you. So, lets start from the entrance of National Chiao Tung University get ready and fasten your seat belts as I am going to take you on the journey of the beautiful campus.
The journey starts from the entrance and as you take your first steps into the campus, a mesmerizing lake welcomes you with open arms. There is a beautiful walking track along the circumference of the lake where you can enjoy a good walk.
If you have any problem related to your admission process, health insurance, student card this is the building that you need to visit. The staff working there is very cooperative and will do their best to solve your issues. One of the most important things that you need to take care of, is your financial matters.
There is a bank inside the campus for handling your financial matters its just across the road from the administration building. you will have to visit the bank several time during your first month to get all the matters settled.
One of the cashier understands English and you wont have any problem in communication with the cashier. There is an ATM machine right outside the building were you can withdraw money even in the multiples of hundreds.

The building right besides the bank is Information Technology center, If you any problem related to your online registration, WiFi password, documents printing and dormitory than you can visit this building. The It center is on first floor while the housing division is on the third floor of this building. Housing division deals with dormitory registration and cancellation etc. I visited the housing division twice to get some of my issues resolve and the staff cooperated with me fully and also communicated in English.
If you feel hungry there is an awesome cafe on the front of IT building where you can not only grab delicious waffles but, can also quench or thirst with a different variety of drinks.
You can either take away food or sit outside the cafe to have gossip with your friends and enjoy the environment.
While sitting at the cafe with the IT building at your back the building that you see at your 10 is library. National Chiao Tung Library is one of the most beautiful libraries.you can find all kinds of books related to your curriculum apart from that you can also watch documentaries. If you want to study in a quite environment library is the best place to go. You will find lots of chairs and tables with the facility of charging ports where you can easily charge your laptops and mobile phones.
The staff working in the library is very cooperative and polite. you don't have to worry If you don't have a laptop because there are personal computers provided in the library and you can also get a tablet issued so that you can work from your hostel as well. If you get tired you can also sleep in the library in a quite environment. The office of International admission is also in the library if you have any issues regarding your scholarship or registration you should go to the 8th floor of the library. In the library you can visit a beautiful museum and get to know about the history of National Chiao Tung University. Overall Library provides the student ambient environment for the study.

At the end, I can proudly say that coming to National Chiao Tung University and studying here was one of the best decision that I have ever made in my life. I have learned a lot from my professors and fellows and I am looking forward towards the upcoming months that I am going to spend in Taiwan (To be Continued.....).
